Help on choosing between SSD & HDD

As you may know by my posts, I am looking to upgrade my PC. But before I do that, I need more space. I only have 130GB left out of 500GB, so which one shall I get? I don't save a lot, and could wipe my current drive and just keep about 150-200GB of stuff, so should I get SSD for OS and a couple of games? Or a 2TB drive? Bearing in mind my MOBO only allows up to 3GB/s. My PC is:

AMD Athlon II x2 250 Dual Core
Gigabyte GA-M68MT-S2P
Mars Blue Case
2x2GB Corsair 667mhz
Stock Air Cooler
KFA2 Geforce GTX 660
Corsair CX Series 500

And which one should I go for?

Out of that lot, would probably go with the Plextor.

Really, I would have said the Samsung because of how high rated Samsung SSD's are, but the Plextor it is. Thanks!

And is the Plextor backwards compatible to SATA II?

Yes, the Plextor will run fine, just not as fast as it would on a 6GB sata port.
