Hi guys,

Im looking for maybe 3 laptops to purchase before xmas and was wondering if anyone could help me out here as so many brands and spec's i'm not sure what to look for and best for money .

First laptop is for my partner .
She would be using this for office , internet browsing nothing really demanding ...

Second is for 13 yr old daughter .. Internet browsing likes of facebook , youtube , Music . and mainly for homework and revising . also plays the simm's .

Third is for 10 yr old daughter just music some games nothing really demanding mainly learning etc .

The girls are quite well computer / techy minded but dont want to shell out ton's on these . they have been restricted to the home computer but it's quite outdated and too many arguments on usuage right's . and i'm looking to build my own system as good a high spec i can and dont fancy all these fingers messing up the system .. If anyone can help point me in right direction i would be most gratefull .. trying to keep cost down as much as possible think the second laptop might be the more demanding user of the 3 .

was looking close to £400 on 1st and 3rd cheaper the better. maybe £500 on 2nd.... so as close to £1300.00 on the 3 if possible cheaper the better as then i have more money to play with on my gaming/media desktop ;)

for the first one

Lenovo G550 (£414.97)

and the second one

Acer Aspire 5738Z-423G25Mn (£432.97)

for the third one maybe

HP Compaq Mini 311c (314.99)

grand total of 1162.98 (left you alittle mroe for ur rig ;))

hope this helps, and what spec u building your rig at ?

How about the following:

2x Acer Aspire 6930G, Intel Core 2 Duo T5800 Processor, 16" HD Screen, Windows Vista Home Premium, 3GB RAM, 250GB HDD, DVD Rewriter, Dedicated Graphics (nVidia 9300M GS) - £429 each inc VAT.

1x Acer Aspire 7535, AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core QL-64 Processor, 17.3" Screen, Windows Vista Home Premium Edition, 3GB RAM, 320GB HDD, DVD Rewriter, Integrated Graphics - £419 inc VAT.

Give the two 6930's to the kids to play their games on, and the 7535 is perfect for the office work.
