I'm trying to do my first oc on my e6600 on a p5n-e sli board. I've read some articles and forum posts, but I'm still not sure what I'm doing wrong.

I unlinked the FSB and memory clock. They are set at 1066 and 667 respectively at stock.

I then tried to up the FSB to 1100, and the actual memory clock went down to 660. I then exited BIOS and nothing happened on restarting. I then turned off and powered up again and it came up with POST error and to reset the things I changed. It also says that the memory timings are 5-4-4-14, when they should be set at 5-5-5-15 (and are currently running at this).

So what am I doing wrong and how can I get my oc working

Hi Alan, I have recently overclocked this chip with a similiar board, the P5W DH Deluxe, here is the link to my thread --- >> HERE

It is currently running stable at 3.1ghz which is not as much as I had hoped, I can get it stable upto about 3.4Ghz but not if I play CoD4 (which is about 90% of my PC use tbh :D ), it reboots after a while....still havent solved this....even after the addition of a Asus HD4890 card. Hope you get some useful info from the thread.
