hi guys im in need of some advice

i have been having some problems with my pc coiming out of sleep mode on windows 7> as per a thread i started earlier in the week,a few days ago my pc stopped posting all toghether but after i tried on and off a few times it would boot in the end.

this evening my pc wont post atall it just turns on all the fans are whirring anad the lights on the case come on but nothing happens on the monitor.

I thought it was overclock which i had been running stable for around 5 months and i reset the bios to default the other day, however this did not solve the problem

Would be great if u could help me out :)

yer im not really sure,i have just reseated and and blown the dust out of the video card and the ram, after another 4 attempts to start finally she started up.im running 3dmark06 and everthing is going fine.

is it a possibility that the house is to cold for the pc to start i think the ambient house temp when i first got in was around pretty damn cold out side temp is like -1

No i don't think starting temperature woulda caused that as thats not a majorly low temperature.
It sounds a bit similar to my old mobo failing... I'd have a lot of startup issues every now and then, with a mobo swap sorting the issues completely.

Edit:- messaging off an ipod touch so the odd typo is expected ^^

i have been reading around and fiddling with the pc(which will not post again) and im pretty sure that it is the psu which has gone (sometimes on boot up the fan spins really loud as thought it cant produce the power demanded of it) ? is this unexpected for a PSU bought in 2007? would you have thought a branded psu like this would last longer
