help pick a graphics card (and monitor)

hello all as the title suggests I'm having a little trouble picking a graphics card and monitor i have about 500-600 to spend on the pair (could go abit over if there is a good reason). I have been looking at them for a few weeks but I'm just lost as to which ones to get. I have a Corsair Professional AX860, "Krypton Z77 ROG" Intel Core i5 3570K 3.40GHz @ 4.60GHz DDR3 Ivybridge Overclocked Bundle with I7 upgrade and Asus Z77 Maximus V Formula Intel Z77 Z77 upgrade. If any one can help with my decision I would be greatful also if you need anymore info please just ask.

Size of the monitor? 22, 24, 27... more??

mainly gaming and not set on what size my old 1 is 20ich widescreen (prolite e2008hds) which i got a fair few years ago with an old pc. Basically I'm just hoping to upgrade the 2 parts from my old pc.

Good shout, Greg, though I've often wondered what 1080p would be like on such a large screen? I suppose you might need plenty of AA?

Good shout, Greg, though I've often wondered what 1080p would be like on such a large screen? I suppose you might need plenty of AA?

I have 3 27" 1080P screens and the picture quality is spot on. AA helps for sure with jaggies but unless you are studying the picture hard, you don't notice.

120Hz for me is just so smooth and this is why I recommend that over the higher res 1440 or 1600 monitors (plus another GPU would be recommended).
