Help please , added another 8gig to my 16gig won't boot up ?

Morning all


I run an assus p8p67 board and have 16 gig ( 2x8) of XMS3 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX16GX3M2A1600C11) running in the the 2 blue slots.

I've now added another 8gig of Corsair Memory XMS3 8GB DDR3 1600 MHz CAS 11-11-11-30 and tried in both the remaining slots and it wont boot up it goes to start then resets etc.

Soon as i remove the 8gig it starts up again ?

Can anyone help me out please ?

Also noticed that my memory frequency reads 1373 even though i havre DDR3 1600mhz ?

ok solved it was memory frequency put it to 1648 MHz andit's working fine now .
Been runnning like that for a while then .
