Sorry I can't tell on thee video, is the CPU 4 pin power connected up?

the motherboard has an 8 pin cpu connector, that is plugged in, there isnt a speaker connector, but there is a bios 2 digit error display on the motherboard, the error codes flick through quite quickly though so im assuming its just going through post as it doesnt hang on a particular code. i can video that though if you like.

few things to try, still could be a bios issue with that make/model of ssd, using latest bios? download bios and put on usb stick formatted in fat32 and update it with qflash from within the bios

also try with only one stick of memory in any of the white ram slots

Looking at that video. It doesnt look like you can do much!

If you go into the BIOS can you disable the splash screen. You can then read what POST messages appear and see what's happening. Where it's hanging for e.g.

ive tried my set of ram in all slots and another set of ram in all, it is the lastest bios on the motherboard too. i think i will build it outside of the case today and try a friends windows install dvd, thinking it might be something stupid.

Boot from the Windows 7 USB and go to 'Repair your computer' then select 'Memory Diagnostics' let it reboot and run it through. Post the results :)

When you say you've tested the SSD in a mates PC did you just plug it in and it worked? (Windows 7 install should just work, you don't need to reinstall)

yeh i tested the ssd on another computer, i reinstalled windows on it to see if it was the installation as well as the ssd, both worked.

Just got a copy of windows 7 basic off a friend, and it worked, computer is up and running, so it must have been a duff transfer when i made the original home premium into a bootable usb.

Edit, its strange as the usb i was using has worked before.

SOLVED.

I've had this before, I always use the Windows 7 Boot Creation Tool now and I've never had a problem. Glad you are up and running!
