I work in a ICT Helpdesk for North Yorks County Council.

They have asked me to create a mission statement for them, well actually they've asked a few of the workers here, can anyone help me create a super dooooper one?!

The following need filling in, here are two examples...

Knowledge Sharing
Train & mentor those less experienced - have this as part of your pdp with measurable targets.

Integrity & Honesty
Always be trustworthy and fair, don't misguide others by deceit or cover up by lying.

Can anyone give me a hand with the below points?
Basically we offer support to workers within the Council for PC problems.

The mission statement will be for the helpdesk anyway...

Integrity & honesty

Customer focus

Knowledge Sharing

Problem Ownership

No blame culture

Empowerment and development of staff

Security conscious

Dynamic and pro-active

Mucho appreciated!

Are you in management or just a 'normal' worker?

IMO writing a mission statement is a job for the people at the top and if was told to write one, I would kindly tell them to sod off :/

I'm just a normal worker, I think there just getting mission statements off all of us then creating one big one, but I'd like to have a decent one to impress them!

And yeah, I would have thought it would be done by the "higher" people, but hey...

Google for a list of buzzwords and randomly assemble as many as possible without worrying about whether it's readable or makes any sense.

Go here and let Dilbert do it for you...

For example:

Integrity & honesty

We won't tell anyone about what we found on your hard drive.

Customer focus

We'll spend all our time on ebay, as customers.

Knowledge Sharing

OK, so we will tell people what we found on your hard drive.

Problem Ownership

You own the PC, you own the problem.

No blame culture

Don't blame us if we can't fix it.

Empowerment and development of staff

Train us up so we can quit and find a real job.

Security conscious

We'll certainly make sure no one ever finds out what's on our hard drives.

Dynamic and pro-active

Ugh. Need a coffee. Go fetch PLZTHXKBYE.
