I've just put a new build together 29050 X with a X399 Aorus extreme in a Enthoo Primo, installed windows on a Nvme M2 but when i shut windows down the fans are still on like it's a sleep?

In the windows power options shut down is set to shut down and i can't see anything in the bios ?

I'm losing my mind at the moment can not work it out and why never had this before of all the builds I've done.

Some one please help me please :( .

Thanks

I know it sounds silly, and please feel free to laugh at this suggestion. But could you of plugged into an rgb header by accident and that's staying powered up whilst rest is shut down?

did check that only have 3 fan cables plugged in one for the AIO pump and 1 for the rad fans .

Then one for the PWM Hub on the case ?

Not of those fans powers off when i switch windows off always on ?

Thanks

Fans still spinning and light still on mother board

Feel like smashing my head against a wall atm

Not a power on issue is it? Like having keyboard to power on?

Don't think so as the system is off now the the keyboard light is off but still fans on and a light or so on in the tower . Tapping the keyboard it's doing nothing at all to restart the system .

And mouse not set up to power on? Sorry I know it's basic stuff but worth going over

Or the LAN power options

No no it's fine I'm totally lost so any advice suggestions welcome . nope press the mouse etc and it doesn't power on at all , only way to get the system back on is to press the power button ( even though it appears to be running in some form already )

If you turn it fully off, do the fans start up soon as soon as the power switch is flicked on?

Does the AIO go off?

To turn it off fully I have use the psu switch at the back .

No they don’t switch back on after I’ve turned the psu switch off ?

Don't listen to him, he's taking the ****.

I bet it's an issue with the PWM hub on the back of the motherboard tray.

Did think that myself but then noticed that the 3 x 140 rad fans go in a splitter then 4 pin to the Motherboard ? So they don't use the PWM Hub

Unplug all the fans then reintroduce them one by one and see, unplug the pwm hub from the motherboard whilst testing.

Right done that with only rad fans in the board soon as i power off there still spinning and a few lights still on motherboard it's as if the motherboard isn't fully closing down ! Can see myself driving back to over clockers tomorrow again drove there today to pick everything up.

Is looking like a motherboard issue ?
