Help Please New Pc Wont Work!!!!!!

Solved it.Thanks guys it was the graphics card. Started fine with my nvidia card i'll be keeping that in there for now then.

Thanks very much for all your words of wisdom.

Looks like i'll have to wait till next week to get a new card tho.

Every electronic item has a minimum of a years warranty by law.

Theres also the 'fit for use' law that says that a product should last a reasonable amount of time etc etc

And theres also the warranty (2 - 3 years) that nvidia gives all its products... so yeah, OcUK should take it back!!!

Anyways, sorry about your card matey, glad we could all help ... Happy new year :)

Has anyone just been able to send a single item back from a system they have bought?
As i don't fancy sending the whole lot back seeing as i spent most of last night and today so far sorting out windows to the way i want it.

I might need some help soon too as i set the system to default and lost the overclock settings that ocuk had put on the system.

plus i need to install a couple of intake fans to the front of the 300 case and i have no idea where they will plug into on the motherboard or psu if i have to.

You wont need to send the system back, Give me a call on the system support line and I will replace the card for you.

We are sending gfx boxes out now for this reason of swaping out products instead of having the whole system back which takes longer, its up to the customer if they feel ok to change the card.

Are the systems not tested before they are sent out? Surely this should have been picked up before despatch.

To be fair to OcUK ... i used to build PCs and even tho a parcel is marked 'Fragile' it never gets treated as such.

I should guess that Overclockers did switch it on before sending it out, how else would they have made sure the overclock was stable?

Yeah, I would 95% blame transit for the damage to the system, because im 100% sure the system was tested before it was sent out. What company is stupid enough to send out something like this, without even making sure it works properly?

I agree. Had very good and polite service and help from ocuk over the problems so i can't knock them at all.

I've had many an item damaged in the post. (could be because i don't tip the postie as he's a grumpy old sod)

Thanks ocuk for all your help. :)
