**** HELP PLEASE partition size?****

HI i have just brought 2 Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB drives and wanted to know what size i should make the os partition size going to be putting xp on it?

Also what other partition should i put on it and the other drive? and if i got to win7 what os partition size then?

With 1TB to play with, you have quite a bit of room I would normally make them about 30-40GB which allows plenty of space for the OS and program files.

30-40 should be plenty for each OS, with a separate partition for games

If you are going to be upgrading to Vista or W7 at some stage then I'd make the OS partition around 60-80gb, will save you a major headache in terms of expanding the partition at a later date.

On XP I used 30GB with Win 7 I use 50GB partition.
