So, yesterday for some reason my power button stopped working. I guessed pretty quickly it was just the switch itself so i whipped the side of the case off and bridged the two PWR pins on the FPANEL connector. PC whirred into life and I used it all of yesterday.
Get to today, and neither bridging the pins nor the power switch works!!
How is it possible for that to happen? The PSU is fine and the board is getting power (green light is on) but I can't fire the damn thing up. I wish I'd enabled wake-on-lan in the bios now I could just do that!
Anyone got any bright ideas how I can turn the damn thing on? Will shorting 14&15 on the ATX connector wake the board up or will it just fire up the PSU seperately?
Would bridging the PWR pins really conk them out? All the switch does is ground the pins no?
And all this is on the day I've moved house aswell
