Hey guys, So me and my brother are heading to OCUK this morning looking to purchase either a pre built or components.

His budget is £700 max.

The PC is for my brother so he can game at 1080P at 60hz.

He's looking for a Intel and Nvidia build.

So he was looking at this pre build.

("ForceBox Gamer Plus") http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-430-OE&groupid=43&catid=2475&subcat=2488

Few problems i have with the pre build though personally is the 450w PSU and the intel CPU cooler.

The option isn't available to change the CPU cooler and the PSU on the site.

Not sure if we could change it in store talking to staff if he does decide he wants the pre built.

Or buy components that have slightly better performance

I already have a NZXT Phantom 530 that can house his build.

Any help is very appreciated as it's a close toss up.

If you have he knowledge to build it yourself, I would. Feels much more satisfying if I did it myself personally.

If not, and you don't know anyone who does or you're not confident enough to, then pre-build. And I'm pretty sure you can request a change in components of the pre build if you ask.

450W psu will be fine for the 960 or even a 970, they're very good wattage wise so you can save some money dropping the psu down.

Would then get an unlocked CPu and change the HDD to a faster one as greens are slow.

And definitely build yourself!

Hey man thanks for the changes,

We ended up going for your basket except we changed the HDD to a WD Black and the PSU to the Superflower 650W gold certified.

Also spent some money on good fans, Got 3 corsair AF 140's quiet edition and a SP120 for the rear.

Built it him and BOY does it run quiet!

Only thing i haven't done yet is change the Ram settings to 2400MHZ.

CPU runs at 26C at idle and max we have seen it yet is 49c playing Far Cry 4 for around 20 mins.

The GPU is quite impressive considering it's small form factor, got some nice results out of it and in some indie titles the fans wouldn't even spin and it kept below 52C at all times.

One thing i have to say this is the first time i've used a superflower PSU after hearing so many good things about it.

and oh my were they not half kidding, excellent PSU! I know exactly what PSU i'm getting when mine goes faulty.

I personally use the Corsair AX850 in my system for some time now, and the sheer build quality of the PSU and the clean aesthetics is really top notch.

Not to mention i believe it's fully modular.

As this to be the first gaming PC in my brothers life i think he's going to love it.

I'll post the picture of the build ASAP. They're uploading now

Thanks to all who chipped in helping me with this build for my brother.
He couldn't be more over the moon with this system.

Cheers!
