Guys, your help would be greatly appreciated on this one...

I changed the HSF on my pc tonight, carefully removing the old one and replacing it with a Tuniq Tower.

I carefully applied AS5 to the CPU and fitted everything back into the case extremely carefully.

Everything looks like it's plugged back in fine, however, when I power up my PC I don't even get a BIOS screen.

The fans whirr up, the fan controller beeps, but the num lock doesn't flash on my keyboard, nor is there any output to my screen. the pc normally beeps once as it's powering up, but after replacing the hsf, I'm getting nothing...

Anyone have any suggestions, they'd be greatly appreciated...

Try reseating the cpu in the socket again. Best thing to do. Also, make sure that the motherboard isnt shorting out anywhere on the case / tray / backplate.

Loosen the Tuniqs back-plate a little. It may be too tight and may be shorting the board.

*edit*

Beaten like a ginger stepchild.

try laying the case on its side so the weight of the tuniq is pushing down on the mobo, might be it is slightly loose.

guys, many thanks for your responses, they were all much appreciated.

Had a play with it tonight, turns out it was amateur night at my house last night- i failed to plug in my dimms all the way... once they were seated properly PC booted up just like normal.

And to top it all, my temps were 13c cooler with my new Tuniq tower, beaut! :p

Thanks again!
