My sons Xbox has had a message pop up saying he has been suspended until 31/12/9999 what does this mean and what can I do about it. He is ten.
 
He's been banned from xbox live.

You can also post on their forum here to ask why he was banned.

They should spell out why he was banned for you.

This will be interesting to see what he has actually been up to.

Give Microsoft a call. Find out why. He's probably the head of a organisation of Hackers with the sole purpose to end microsoft.
 
Assuming this is a 360, he's either been playing illegal copies of games and been done on a security check, or committed something on Xbox Live to get himself banned. Quote...

The conduct that caused this suspension may include, but is not limited to:
- Altering the appearance of your avatar beyond legitimate parameters

- Making unauthorized modifications to your account
 
You can go on the MS forums and ask why. If he's young I'd guess he's been invited to a modded lobby for COD and MS have found out and banned him.
Here's the forum to ask about account bans. There's very little chance you'll get his account re-instated.
 
I am guessing the benefit is to get items and clothes etc. that most normal folk pay for.

Microsoft will not allow this to happen as its lost profits for them.

Hence people that do this get banned.
