Help please the darkness loading issue

My ps3 wont load in chapter 5 end game the bit where i have to go meet aunt sarah on the lower east side. As soon as i leave the subway to get to the lower east side during the loading scene the bar just freezes half way every time. Im stumped to what the problem could be, i have the latest updates and every other game loads fine Fear, COD4, assassins creed no problems but the darkness is odd any help would be great please. :confused:

There may be a similar problem on the xbox 360 version did you accept a mission involving a harmonica near where it froze up by any chance? If you did try going to a checkpoint before that and this time ignore the guy who gives that mission

I dont have the game so you will have to bear with me if it doesn't make sense

Found a link on google where it happens to the ps3 version aswell

Thanks Reeve i'll have to wait for a patch to be released then to fix the problem, here's hoping some time soon how frustrating i was really getting into the game as well

I cant remember the game save system, but would it be worth going back to an earlier level and trying again? Sometimes these bugs are partly caused by a corrupt save game.

I dont think thats possible is it with this particular game. :confused:
