All,

my once stable oc'd system is having issues cold booting.

Initially the 6Gb of ram would only show as 4G or 2Gb even if upping the DRAM voltage and would not run at 1600.

My processer OC's great and will run at 4.2 on air no problems, but trying to OC the RAM was failling

So I bought new Corsair RAM rated for 1600 and installed it.

Now when trying to run at 1600 RAM and a OC processor the PC will try and boot and stop and try and stop showing that there is a problem with the bios settings.

So reset the bios and try again.. Well this goes on until I get a bootable system, then I save the settings in BIOS and boot PC into windows and run IBT no issues very stable.

I can even run some games and it works.

Power off the PC for a few hours and when I come back the PC wont boot until I reset the bios settings. Even if I re-load the last good settings it wont work.

Then after messing around for ages it will boot.

But after power off again it wont boot - it is doing my nut in !!!

So as it seems to be RAM related as I can get it to boot at 1200, I am thinking it must be the CPU's memory driver.

So what voltage directly drives the CPU's memory handler.

Any ideas what I can do as I am really stuck?

Is this an Asus board with that express gate crap? Had this issue with 2 P6T boards and Ati graphics, disabled it in the BIOS, perfect ever since.
