Sorry i did not know which forum to put this in.

My girlfriend is having trouble with her computer. She just has an onboard graphics card but every so often everything on screen will start shaking from side to side [ see picture below ].

Can anyone tell me whats going on or how to fix it ? I dont currently have access to the computer so cant really tell you that much more information.

She says the problem is stops when she switches to a lower resolution then back to the higher one.

Thanks for any help. p.s sorry about the image its the best i could get.

On closer inspection of that picture which was taken a frew minutes ago while the problem was happening it does not appear to show the same effect which is happening on the screen.

Does this mean it is a monitor related problem ? or the connection or is she running the monitor at too higher resolution ?
