hi my laptop has recently broken this is due to one of the harddrives breaking i need to buy another, the one that was already in the laptop was a Hitachi 80GB 2.5" SATA Notebook/Laptop Hard Drive-HTS541080G9SA00, 0A26924, 5400 RPM. OEM. im not sure what else will fit the laptop and dont want to buy the same one again, i was thinking of getting if they wil fit either; Samsung Spinpoint M6 500GB 5400RPM SATA-II 8MB Cache - OEM (HM500LI)
Western Digital Scorpio Blue 500GB 5400RPM SATA-II 8MB Cache
thanks in advance adam

If it's using SATA then the laptop shouldn't be that old so BIOS disk size restrictions probably won't be an issue. In that case as long as the new disk is the same physical size as the old one (not sure if these new 500Gb 2.5s are still 9mm) then it should work fine.

hey again on both of the hard drives they look like they need seperate power my laptop hd doesnt will they still work and or do they use seperate power thanks

The Hitachi is a standard SATA drive with the usual standard power and data cables on the back edge, as do the Samsung and the WD.

hey ive had another look at the harddrives and on the one i own (broken one) there is only one place it connnects to the laptop which is through the long slot the there does this mean i cant buy one of the above harddrives

yer sure ill upload asap sorry been very busy lately, the short of it is my harddrive only connects using one connector the onesonline look like they need seperate power slots
