ok, got a pc bundle here :
ASRock G41M-VS3
E5700
DDR3 1333MHz

put it all together and all was well. BSOD whilst installing windows, which was odd. anyways windows went on, but keeps BSOD.
thing is, the CPU should be 3GHz, but its running @ 1794MHz and Ram should be 1333MHz but is running at 800MHz. everything in the bios is set to auto. any ideas?

are you sure that the Cpu is set right in the bios?

i really dont know, its all on defaults so would think so.
the thing is the multiplier is locked to 9, so by my maths that means fsb would have to be 333, its 200. tried changing it but no post then.

Is the voltage set incorrectly? I'm not sure what the correct vcore is for that cpu, but it sounds a little like it's not getting enough volts.

that wouldnt affect the speed or the multiplier.
well i did what i was told on my personal build and updated the bios, and guess what, now the multiplier is now no longer locked at X9

its now X6 :mad:

really annoying me now.

ok, my bad, forgot to reset bios to defaults after update, now its running 15X so 3GHz

cheers. reinstalled windows and no BSOD so far

ram is still running at 800MHz but thats not a real issue.
