Help Please

I got a SSD Today
i took out my old harddrive and put the wires in from that to my ssd
and yes there sata cables

so then i turn on pc and i have the windows 7 disc in my pc
it loads up to were i have to click the keyboard settings for the setup
but on the menu my mouse and keyboard both dont work

why is this??

Are they plugged in USB 3.0 slots? When I try to install Windows 7 from a USB it wont work in a 3.0 port so I have to swap it to a 2.0 port. Not sure if it applys to a mouse and keyboard to though.

Ahhh okay yhh there in 3.0 so ill swap them see if that helps thank you hope it works ill get back to ya
