Hello Overslockers community,
Im having an issue with my laptop and im sure its a very simple fix but im a bit of a novice and would really appreciate some guidence.
Basically, i have a laptop that i waned to wipe complete and start a fresh with a fresh OS instal.
I installed the OS on a partition of my HDD that was only just big enough ( but not big enough for all the updates required after installation ). Before identifying this is formatted the c drive and cleared the computer of everything as i intended.
Upon realising that my partition with the OS on didnt have the space i used the disk management tool on Windows 7 to drive and extend the drive space. It wouldnt let me extend, so then i thought i should just uninstall the OS again and put it back on the fresh space on my HDD. In the process of creating another partition my HDD has become '' dynamic'' in all partitions. So following som advice online i deleted each partition and created a new c drive with all the unallocated space. Everything except the partitionj that still had the OS on.
I thought if i change the boot mgr order and run the OS installation disc again i can format the space of HDD with the OS on to remove it which has been sucessful. But now i cannot reinstal Windows as a section of the HDD is still in dynamic mode and i have no windows installed to gain access to the disc managment option to delete the partition that is dynmaic and then change the whole thing back to basic mode.
Sorry it is such a long winded explanation.
Any guidence would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
James
