Yeah - drop the movies onto the hd-take it downstairs and plug it into the wdtv live .

Play movies on tv.

Make sure its the latest version (PAL model number WDBGXT0000NBK)

Ok so ive found the latest one for £69, is there a specific hd you recommend for these? also I do have a few 32gb USB sticks. If the WD was plugged in, could I plus the USB into the WD and then watch them on tv

Any HD (up to 2 TB I think) - yes it can read straight from the stick so you don't have to buy a HD if not required
