Help please

Hi guys, so I just installed my 2nd 980ti MSI and needed to reinstall the drivers for it to get SLI working but that went well, I had to remove my Soundcard because it was in the way and I have tried moving it into the small pci slot between the 2 cards and although it lights up the soundblaster software is saying there is a problem so I removed it.
Now although my SLI is working and both cards are picked up as expected, for some reason now I can't shut the pc down. When I try and shut down it flashes and then goes back to the desktop, I never had this before installing the 2nd card or moving the soundcard.
The soundcard is a Soundblaster Z, now I moved it into the small PCI lane like I said and although it does slot it, not all of it slots in just the 2 longer bits.
My PC still restarts but as I say wont shut down, is there something I could try guys.

it might be crashing and the default windows response to that is to restart. If you disable automatic restart you might be able to see the blue screen and note the error number.

Right a friend said to untick the box - turn on fast startup in power options and that fixed it, really odd.
The other problem I am having, now I would like to be able to put my soundblaster z back in and I have plenty of space between the 2 cards and have pcie_6 spare, now I have uninstalled the software and the card is out now but before I was having problems. If I was to put the card back in, I am right when I say it should still work right?

All sorted, removed the drivers and card and refitted it and all working.

I have noticed that GPU2 gets quite a lot hotter than gpu1 when gaming, 20 degrees or so, isn't it normally the top card getting hotter? I mean its not a problem just seems odd. The airflow in my case is great, could the 2 fans at the bottom blowing air up be causing the 2nd card to be running hotter?

Anyone got any ideas on the 2nd card getting this much hotter guys? Just played Mad Max without any overclock, the top card hit 55 max temp and the new bottom card hit 73 ! Should I rma it as that seems like theres a problem, the top card rarely ever gets into the 70s even with an overclock.

Edit- I have just asked about a possible RMA.

The bottom card should not get hotter. Unless you havnt got SLI enabled and that one is doing the work. Are you sure its reporting them in the right order and it is not in fact the top one getting hotter?

Yeah the bottom card is getting much hotter and SLI is enabled, I have just asked for an RMA. Yes they are definately reporting in the correct order but I will swap them over now to double check.

Right ok, I just swapped the cards over and now the bottom card (old card) is the hotter one now, errr wtf is going on, could it be the fans that are blowing up towards the bottom card? https://s32.postimg.org/fi8vhntd1/13...93321187_n.jpg
I will try turning those 2 fans off.

Sorted, it was MSI afterburner reading my cards backwards rofl.
