help plz i think its dead

i have a Gigabyte Z68AP-D3 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard REV 1 and it done a bios update and now it wont start up ..what has gone wrong ..i dont know anything about comps i done a reformat and put the utility disc in and pressed install all and it left some icon on my desktop one was a gren one i preessed it and it says update your bios then a ble=ue line went across the screen the it rebooted and nothing only goes to splash screen then launch startup repair recomendedi press that then ...your computer was unable to start ..startup repair cannot repair this comp send this problem recomended ..anyone help plz
 
have you checked to see if the ahci is enabled/disabled? it may have changed when you updated the bios
 
ok switched it back to ahci then strted the machine its askin me to put windows discs in and go for repair your comp then tries to repair then goes back round again ...choose system recovery ..startup repair ..nothin system restore...nothing ...i dont think i can find ssd ..but not sure..more help needed plz.. right geting thiswindows failed to start a recent hardware or software change blar blar..
1 insert your windows installation disc and resatart your comp
2 choose your language
3 click repair

i have a z68 ud3p so it may be similar

restart the pc and press 'delete' to get into the bios
once the blue menu pops up go to 'integrated peripherals;
then look for 'PCH sata control mode' set it to AHCI
press F10
you should notice the AHCI screen come up during post, that should work if not go back in the bios and make sure your drive with windows on is set as primary boot drive.
