Hi peeps

Can any1 tell me what i need to disable in me bios so my cpuz etc detects correct clock cant seem to find it?

Thought it was speed stepping :confused:

fairly certain you've prob got speedstep,C1E, EIST still running, go into your BIOS and disable any/all of them then you'll see your correct speed. Theyre powersaving functions that declock your CPU when it doesnt need to be running at full

is ur chip detected during boot. In post does it say ur chip name or model unknown or something cant remenber what it say if i doesnt know ur chip.

Or just leave it turned on so it isn't running at full tilt when sat idle at the desktop.

I get it now de-clocks your cpu at idle :cool:
