Hey folks so got my new board set-up for my new CPU and tried the q flash with the usb drive in but the led doesn't flash so I don't think it's working shall I try a different bios trying F11D atm?

B550 Aorus elite and yes in correct port and renamed to Gigabyte.bin
Nothing is installed on the board.
Yea correct BIOS I just changed it to the one one that's required for 5000 series the F10 and still the same no LED?

I've found that some boards can be fussy with usb flash drives. Okay in Windows but bios update can't recognise the drive. Try a different brand.

It's flashing a white light at the rear I/O whenever I turn the PSU on is that normal or do I have a dead motherboard?

Read a few problems with certain usb drives, make sure it is a usb 2.0 drive and formatted to fat 32.
It's formatted to fat32 but it's usb 3.0 there backwards compatible anyway so wouldn't see that being the issue.
Don't have 1 I'm trying my 1700 in the board atm and it won't post currently
The board lights up though
Board shouldn't light up for Q-flash+ - it is Q-FLash+ (plus) right and not just Q-Flash?
You need - ATX power connected, CPU power connected, CPU socket empty
@pc-guy I forgot about that damn shall I just install the 5800x and see if it will POST?
are you sure you renamed the actual file extension. it will be something like "B550AOPR.11d" for my b550 board.
Now if you dont have show file extensions switched on and you rename it it wont actually change it to BIN. it will rename it to something like B550AOPR.BIN.11d and that wont work. so make suer you have "show file extensions" in windows folder options.
Also make sure its the file you have renamed, not in a folder. some ppl renamed a folder and put the file in it. thats not correct.

Yep not in a folder and renamed it and it's stayed renamed.
I've uninstalled everything and pressed the q flash button still no led but gonna leave it 30 mins then see if I install my 5800X it posts could just be the LED is not working
