Help quick please RAID 0

I have just set up my raid 0 array, drives are 320 gig, but when I set them the size is coming up as 596gig is this right, thought it was meant to be striping where both drives act as one, so 320gig with both drives, at the windows install screen now and drive capacity it 596 gb

that's correct.

remember hard drive manufacturers use 1000 = Mb, Windows uses 1024 = Mb

640 /(1024 x 3)
x 1000,000,000 = 596

0 = Striping = drives sum together as the stripe 'spans' them

1 = Mirroring = drives replicate one another = size of smallest drive
