hi guys just booted up computer there after taking out and putting back in a network adapter (wifi) and my computer

I7 920 oc @4ghz
6 gb ddr3
Raid 0 WD raptors 600gb

isnt recognising the raid volume or the overclock i think

first page in setup its showing target cpu frequency at 2600mhz.

big issue is the raid volume anyway. it is recognizing the 2 disks as seperate entities in BIOS boot and asking me to choose a boot device.

its like my computer had just dropped bios settings and forgot anout overclock and raid???

Sounds a bit like the battery is dead and thus lost all settings when you powered off.

Is the SATA controller set to RAID still in the BIOS?

ok i think crisis averted, from the bios i was able to select the 2 drives into a raid volume again and it booted back anyway.

it had told me i just installed a floppy disk drive though!!!

The overclock on the i7920 was actually part of a bundld I got with a rampage 2 extreme and ram from overclockers a few years ago, ime sure I can find some settings for the cpu oc somewhere anyway or overclockers might be able to help me out

Have a look at the stored BIOS profiles..see if one of them has a name related to ocuk or the over clock.

Then load the profile and save+exit

i think the bios had 2 profiles to choose from on this MB, think ive a few pictures that i took of a few bios pages aswell so must check that out.

This board had a few automatic overclocking profiles so must check these. it would be a shame to lose the 4ghz overclock because ive had it 3-4 years now and its ran like clockwork the whole time
