Help - Raid0 for dummies

Hi - putting a new system together - IP35 pro - 2 seagate 500gb sata drives - would like to run them in raid 0 - but not too sure what to do - have gone into the bios - in the integrated peripherals set the sata mode to RAID - couldn't see anything else to do so popped the Vista 64 disc in to install it and when it comes to the bit about where do you want to install it - it sees the two drives as separate - pointing it at the raid driver in the mobo CD didnt seem to help - does anyone have a step by step guide to doing this (including where to set the stripe sizes etc) - I have googled this and there does not seem to be anything suitable to follow.

I have read it cover to cover - and it only mentions setting the sata mode to raid and where the raid drivers are for vista install - cant spot anything on actually how to do it.

After changing the settings to RAID in BIOS let the PC boot were you see a box which shows your drive (only connect the drives you want to RAID) I think you press Ctrl I to access this item it will show this message below the box.
Onced entered highlight the drives you want to RAID save and reboot, place your installation disc in and let windows start to load, press F6 during install because you need to load the drivers for RAID which are on the motherboard disc, windows will ask you to place the motherboard CD ROM in the disc tray and load the drivers, please see page 3-6 in the manual to choose the drivers you want once these have loaded it prompts you to install the windows disc and should see your RAID array.

Hope the above helps, some bit may be slightly different but thats pretty much the gist (spelling) of it.

Thanks for the info - getting into the ctrl I menu had me stumped - darn usb keyboard - had to dig out an old ps2 kb

I believe there's a USB Legacy or something to do with allowing USB mice and keyboards to act as PS/2 ones.

If you go in to the BIOS there is a setting that allows you to change from OS to BIOS for USB keyboard and mouse so you can use them during startup. It's not called USB Legacy in the ip35 Pro.
