Help recovering data from a corrupted drive.

My mate spilt water on his laptop and it's knackered. He needs to get some data off the hard drive so he mounted it into a caddie and windows recognises it but it says corrupted.

Any decent software which will recover the data for him?

Not 100% but it may of broken in the spillage, due to the fact it says it corrupt. but i may be wrong.

If the HDD aint actually broken try File scavenger.
