Help Refurbishing Dell Laptop ?

Hi all i ,m after some info i am refurbishing a Dell D630 Latitude Laptop,and want to know what is the fastest CDRW / DVD+RW (CD/DVD Burner) & where can i get a brand new one from?

eBay has loads of Dell parts.

As the D series is getting older now it should be fairly cheap.

The same drives are also used in the USFF (Ultra Small Form Factor) Optiplex desktops.

Hi thanks yeah just got a brand new one off eBay £29.99 free postage and a touchpad parmrest for £29.00 brand new .Now want a new LCD screen which i,ve got nearly sorted Dell Genuine brand new for £79.99 free postage ,got a new keyboard too, all told think i,ll have a new refurbished 2.5mhz 4gb ram 640gb hard drive( Samsung model) Dell D630 laptop for about £325 tops !

If it's nVidia graphics watch out for GPU failure. Can be alleviated by keeping the heatsink clean - they suffer from dust clogging. If it's Intel video then they're pretty reliable - only other problem I've seen is occasional ethernet port failure.

Yeah thanks its Intel onboard graphics i did my homework on that ha! think after i,ve had a few offers excepted on eBay it looking cheaper than first thought,found a whole top half lcd panel etc a lot cheaper than screen only genuine Dell products to unused
