Hello
I am building a new rig today which consists of all brand new components apart from the HDD, which I will be using form my old rig.
However, I want the HDD to feel as though it is new.
I have windows 7 OEM installed, but no longer have the disc so I don't believe I will be able to reformat it using that method?
If i were to use http://www.dban.org/ on the HDD would that restore the HDD to factory defaults, and be as ready as new to install a new OEM windows 7 on it for the new system?
The name of the software sounds quite intimidating and I don’t want it to effect the HDD's performance, so I thought I'd ask here first.
Thanks.
