Hello guys

I want to build a new rig with custom water cooling and I need some help and advice. I am building this rig for 4years usage and I want it to be flexible for upgrading. Also I am planning on overclocking PCU and GPU if I need more power. Color scheme which I want to make is orange with Mayhems Aurora coolant. My budget is £3000 ish (been saving for a few years) including 2 monitors, one of them Asus Rog Swift (I know it is overpriced) and need an advice on 2nd workstation monitor also.

What I have chosen so far:
Case: My the most favourite case so far is NZXT 440 but I also consider Silverstone FT04 because of inverted motherboard so I could see GPU water blocks facing up.
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-X99-SOC Force
CPU: Intel i7-5930K
RAM: 16GB Kingston XMP Predator DDR4
Graphics: 2x GTX 970 (Palit because I am going to replace fans to water blocks)
Storage: 2x Asus 840 Evo on raid 0 (using one of them already)
PSU: Need help on this (so far I was thinking about Corsair 850W)
Fans: Bit Fenix (because they make orange LED fans)
For water cooling system I am going with EK water blocks and rigid tubing.

I also need help choosing the pump, reservoir size and the tubing sizes. If you know any parts in orange which could fit my color scheme please share.
Thank you

Forget SATA3 SSD(s) if you are intended to buy mobo equipped with M.2 Turbo slot. So far there's only one Samsung XP941 M.2 SSD worth considering, but future will bring something more interesting for sure.

I opted not to get the XP941, despite the Impact VII being a perfect match... The price premium is really not worth it.

Just want to pipe in about the bitfenix braided cables. I recently got some orange ones for a build and only 3 out of 6 of the cables I got were of the same shade of orange.

Rather jealous that you have £3k to spend however... :(

I had a second thought about FT04. It looks quiet decent when you put the things in and there is more space, you can see tops of gpu waterblocks and reservour. But i heard that you can't fit 360 radiator on the front, does anyone know anything about this ?

I would also advise against the Mayham Aurora coolant, its fine for showcasing, but isn't meant to be used long term. After showcasing either change to mayham gigabyte orange or pastel orange or just use these from the start. the reason I say this as you want to keep the system for 4 years. unsure if I can post the link, but its under Mayhams Aurora Guide on their website

Quote from Mayhams Website "Aurora is "NOT" made for use in a home system. It has been developed for show System's (modding) and Photo work. If looking for a fluid for a Home system / Gaming system please use Mayhems X1 or Mayhems Pastel range of fluids there are fully tested and working in any kind of loop."

you can also fit a 360 mm rad in the front by mounting the fans in the outside of the frame and the rad on the inside of the metal frame (Source: Silverstonetek website). and you could squeeze a 120mm on the back. You are going to lose 240 to 360mm rad space going from a H440 to FT04, but you will gain in build quality and better a more silent system (can anyone that has a FT04 or H440 comment of sound from the system ? ) but it depends if your going for performance or silence, which you saying you want to overclock would say performance. also rule of average thumb you want at least 120mm rad space per water block +1/4. So say you are going to do Cpu, Gpu, Gpu that's 360mm + 120mm(around 1/4 added) so total of 480mm minimum

Edit: Added where to find the info for the 360mm in the FT04

Windowed case...has to look nice :)

True you look at monitor 99%+ of the time but when you look at pc you want to see something nice...otherwise it would be like driving a beat up, rusty supercar that you just spent lots of £ on :)

Nice budget and nice build...looking forward to seeing pics :)

Thank you for your answers and help so far.
About Mayhems Aurora, why is it not the best thing in a long run ? It is mix of dyes (Aurora silver + orange dye). Or does it effect the inside of tubing/waterblocks?
