I'm not sure if you'll get great results roasting a tin of chopped tomatoes.

His post wasn't particularly well-worded though I didn't take it as being as rude as you have done. Some of his points are valid - mostly the general cooking tips.
Aha ok fair enough, I meant real tomatoes not tinned tomatoes apologies but yes I dont think he worded it well. :)

I agree. Suppose I could have worded it better. I'm blunt and get to the point. Sorry if I offended you.

Your backtracking, you specifically mentioned tinned tomatoes and pasta.

There's nothing you can do with them other than make a tomato pasta sauce. There's only one way to cook pasta, so presumably you were asking for a tomato pasta sauce.

You're obviously easily offended and again I apologise as this wasn't my intention.

I'll say no more about it and we shall leave it at that.

I presume you quoted the wrong post there :p

To put on the pasta! Sorry but can people stop being picky read the op

"List ingredients you have and allow for a few extra things from the supermarket to jazz it up"

You mentioned pasta... AND... Tinned tomatoes.

Now, the ONLY thing you or Gordon F Ramsay is going to make from that IS... Pasta with a tomato sauce.

Seeing as everyone boils pasta. The only other things you would buy are things to add to the sauce. E.g. Basil, chillis, garlic, onions etc etc.

That's why I asked if you were wanting a tomato sauce recipe. IT'S ALL YOU COULD HAVE MADE.

** edit - try not to make things personal in future please ** Providing the fact you blitz raw tomatoes then pour over pasta I'm guessing its the first one.

I'll say no more on the subject. Frenchtart obviously understood me perfectly.

So on the topic of the OP:

Pitta
Cooked Chicken bits
Lettuce

Sainsburys/Tesco.

Cherry Tomatos always make an excellent addition.
Drizzle of lemon juice.
Fresh chilli if you like them (use lime rather than lemon in this case)
Beansprouts.
Cashew/Peanuts.

Crush the nuts up (lots of good energy in nuts), put chicken in the warmed (if poss) pitta, squeeze a bit of lime onto it, put the chilli on top and cover in your salad items.

Or: cut the tomatoes in halves and assemble your chicken pitta salad that way and squeeze a bit of lemon juice over it.

I'd probably go for smoked mackerel wraps or tuna wraps for lunch though.

Try cous cous as well as you can just prep it in the tupperware and then shove everything on top and take it in with you :)

If you have a toaster, toast the pitta so they're warm (not crispy).
