Help required - Upgraded to 5800x

Here is a link to the display port for Nvidia drivers in case it's of any use. This fixed my issues

Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man I wish I had known about this before, having a nightmare over the weekend sorting issues with a new build compounded by having to swap monitors around all the time when needing to get into the bios.

Legend!

Little progress. Still no fix for me

The CPU debug light is steady white on the motherboard, still no display.

When I put the 3400g back in the pc posts fine.

Is there a difference between flashing bios on old processor (3400g) and then installing 5800x vs flashing while 5800x is installed using computer off method (rear button) ?

Seeing as you are swapping cpus in and out, might it be worth trying the bios update when there is no cpu installed?

Take the cpu out. Put bios on a fat32 USB stick and make sure you use the bios renamer. Connect 24 pin and 8pin to mobo, USB stick into the bios flash USB port, hold the bios flash button for 3 seconds until it starts flashing, wait a few minutes until it stops flashing. USB stick out, cpu in, hook it all up, boot to bios.
