Help Ryan fight his cancer

I thought the attitude you showed on the steam game thread was inspiring, so I'm happy to put in a little.

Oh, and don't go out with tefal... I still cant walk straight after the last time :/

I'm a survivor of non Hodgkin's lymphoma, I wish you all the best my friend, stay positive there is always a chance! I will donate when paid tomorrow too, all the best!

Having just been diagnosed with bowel and liver cancer and having my first chemotherapy session at the moment. It is just horrible hearing all these stories and everything cancer related is heightened at the moment. I've donated some money that I hope may be of some use. All the best for Ryan and anyone else going through or has had cancer.

Send me an email if you'd like to talk about chemo and dealing with it (and what to eat!) Best of luck to you buddy.

Can I ask what the clinical trials are..? :)

Because standard drugs don't work any more, clinical trials are my only option. For those that don't know, these are new, unlicensed drugs that are being developed by pharmaceutical companies worldwide, and use a variety of new techniques to control or even destroy cancer. The ones I'm most interested in are immunotherapy - using the body's own immune system to target and fight the disease. It's an exciting time in this field and I want to be involved in the very newest techniques to develop better treatments for everyone. Not in the hope of being a hero, just because I ****ing love science.

I don't have a definitive idea about what is available to me as they're very very specific and require a lot of pathology and genetic testing to match potential participants up to trials. It's still very early doors for my application into these new trials after the last one failed but they seem hopeful I still have options.

Holy crap this is freaky!

The thread caught my eye as he has the same first name 'Ryan' as my best friend who passed from osteosarcoma bone cancer a few years back.

Go to the jsutgiving page and he has the same surname as wel, Ryan O'Donnell. Very weird!

Going to donate when I get home!

Sorry to hear about your troubles mate, all the best!
