Hi guys,

I'm having trouble installing Windows 10 onto my new m.2 drive on my pc. Its probably something really simple that I'm overlooking hence needing help.
So the mb I'm trying to install it on is an B450 Aorus Elite with AMD chipset. BIOS detects the drive is there, but when I boot up and try installing Windows 10 from USB flash onto the drive, it doesn't detect the drive. Ive tried several different drivers, but to no avail.
What I have tried so far:
Swapping ports
Installing Samsung drivers
Updating chipset driver
Flashed BIOS (Now at F52)
Removing both already installed SSD and HDD
Changing BIOS settings to disable CSM and clear keys
Changing CSM to legacy

Cheers in advance for any help given.
Adam

Thanks for your reply.
I have 2 SATA drives in the machine, and they were in the same lane, so I moved them inline with the m2b slot. Boot up, can see the drive in device manager. Says it's working fine, but I cannot see it in disk manager or diskpart. Only the 2 other drives I'm running are showing.

ASATA ports are being used.

It does show the drives during POST.

No alerting devices nor any hidden ones, but I haven't tried the display hidden devices trick yet to see. My chipset is fully upto date and seems to be working totally fine

Unfortunately I've tried all the above and to no avail.

My money now is on the m.2 being faulty. Bought it through Overclockers, who are now helping me with a 'swap' as the drive is under warranty.

I appreciate all your help ~cw. Cheers mate.

Yes mate, shows up as it should in BIOS and shows up as it's working fine on device manager.

Once they've tested it, fingers crossed it's just a faulty drive. I'll keep you posted :)
