HELP! Sapphire 5870 problem - Flashing pixels

Hi all,

Just received a Sapphire 5870 from another e-tailer and installed it this evening to be greeted with various coloured flashing pixels (mainly green) all over my Windows desktop. They mostly seem to disappear while gaming and when the card gets hotter.

Anyone come across this/heard about it/experienced it?

I'm guessing it's a hardware fault. RMA?

Would you say it's worth RMAing still, or can i consider this a long term fix?

If it works for you mate, i would say stick with it, as if you RMA and it tests OK you will be stuck with a bill for the pleasure, there been loads of little glitches like this on this series.

Interestingly, i filled out a Sapphire support ticket last night, and they got back to me within 12 hours instructing me to take a copy of my vbios and send to them, whereupon they will adjust it and send it back. I'll come back and report if it works.
