I have just bought an Asus A8N SLi Premium mobo. I have 2 36gb raptors and 2 150gb raptors. I propose to use RAID 0 for the operating system and programms on the 2 x 36gb and use the 150's either in RAID 0 to give a single 300gb (is it possible to have 2 sets of rail 0 disks?) or as single 150gb drives. Can you partion a large RAID 0 array?
The Motherboard has Nvidia raid controller and a Slilicon Image Raid controller, the only difference I can see is that the Nvivia supports PATA as well as SATA other wise which is the best to use?
I an quite confused about the RAID set up generally.
