Help setting up xbox live please

Hi all, today I got an xbox 360 but im having trouble setting up xbox live . I got a premium and was using the ethernet cable supplied. I have a DFI lanparty ultra-d and was using one of the ethernet ports on the MoBo to use internet connection sharing with the xbox.
When I plug the cable in and use the xbox connection tester, it finds the wired connection but can't find the I.P or DNS address.

Any ideas?

Don't use ICS. Sounds like you need to create a bridge between your ethernet connection and your broadband connection in control panel->network connections.
