Help slaving laptop drive

Hi chaps,

I need to get data off this drive but have no idea how I can do it without a laptop with the same sort of connector. The laptop it came out of is totally knackered.

I can't find any caddies to do this so would appreciate pointers! I'm not sure if this is just a converter but am too scared to try pulling it off!

AHA - it IS a convertor... so now I need a laptop drive caddy... ?

If you pull that off it will be the old IDE notebook connector by the looks of it. You can get adapters for those pretty cheap

This is for a mate - nightmare... cd connector broken, can't boot off of USB...

I just found a caddy in amongst my random junk and am copying data off now!
