Help SLi graphics problems....

When I decided to put the 2nd card back in I swapped them round at the same time. It appears to be a bit better now. No glitches in Trackmania and only minor ones in Quake3 (and I can run that single GPU if need be). I am downloading Crysis demo now to try that out.

Also noiced that after re-inserting the SLi birdge there was a rythmic interference running down the screen - the SLI bridge (the plastic part) was touching the heat sinc on the GCard. I pulled it away and this stopped.

Might see if I can get hold of a rigid SLi bridge instead of this flimsy one ASUS have given me.

Hi,

With SLi enabled 2d is fine but as you enter a game even at the menu screen I get a flashing blue cast around everything which sometimes then degrades into blue horizontal bands approx an inch wide which travel down the screen. Disable SLi and everything is fine.

Simon.

Exact thing happened to me, but only in Windows VISTA and SLI (Colin Mcrae's DiRT was the game i loaded up), but no issues like this in Windows XP 32

These sound like the problems I was getting but I am running XP SP2 not Vista. I can understand it with Q3 because it's an old game (although it is supposed to support SLi). I will post up how Crysis copes.

My problems seem to have gone away.

I had tried various different drivers upto the new 174 betas with no apparent change but in amongst this I re-seated the SLi bridge which seems to have done the trick.

Cheers, Simon.

My problems havn't gone but have reduced quite a lot and that was after I swapped the cards around (which of course involved re-seating the bridge) so perhaps it is something physical to do with the bridge? Very strange.

Simon, are you using a flexi or solid bridge?

A solid bridge.

I was leaning to a hardware fault because my Vista installation was experiencing the same problem regardless of which driver was installed. I had previously got rid of the problem for a couple of days after switching the display to the alternative dvi connector.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for a few days but hopefully that will be the end of my problems for now.

Cheers, Simon.
