Hey guys. Wasn't sure if this was the correct thread to put this so i apologize if its wrong because i couldn't find a common help section.
Anyway whats happening is when i turn my pc on both Ethernet lights on the back red and orange blink slowly when the computer is booted up to the windows loading screen and then when logged in the computer thinks that the Ethernet is unplugged from the pc.
However when i then shut down the pc and remove all the cables from the back of the pc and then plug them all back in the pc boots up with the Ethernet working fine.
I haven't tested each cable one by one to see which one fixes this problem but removing them all seems to work first time.
Nothing has been altered in or behind the pc since this started to happen a few days ago and i current have plugged in is the power, mouse, keyboard, surround sound and ethernet.
Driver says it is up to date too.
At first i thought it might of been the BT home hub interfering but i have reset to factory settings many times and this didn't solve my problem at all.
Im pretty confused to what it is other thinking something that is connected is shorting out the Ethernet somehow. If i shut the pc down and don't turn off at the plug and come back to it in the morning it works perfect as it should.
I have considered buying a Ethernet adapter for a USB port because of my problem but i dont know what these are like and would need to be high speed as my pc is used for gaming, teamspeak, streaming videos, downloads etc.
Ive checked all the cables and connections and everything seems fine and i cant figure out what is causing this. Hopefully its not a bad motherboard because it would be a pain to send back to overclockers removing all my stuff and having no pc for awhile and id probably just end up buying another.
Any help is appreciated guys and i will post any more information that you need.
Thank you.
