help, stuck on ep2 lol

Didn't use the mavity gun at all for this one.

Just used shotgun (alt fire), SMG (alt fire) and the magnum. I let them come at me, then sidestepped them and planted ammo into their backs.

When I got lower on ammo, I just pulled them close to the explosive barrels and let them take the blast.

Didn't even use up all the explosive barrels taking them out either.

im stuck agen lol, on the part where you've got to kill that helicopter after you've just ditched the car. dont know how to kill it ???

:-/

which part? on your way to the auto gun there are a couple of places where you need to jump on top of trucks and into the windows on the 1st floor.

To be fair the autogun was maybe the hardest part of the game in terms of places where I died. It's a bit like those MG42s in BiA where if you stand in the wrong place you are pretty much guarenteed to buy it.

as were all here giving out help......

how do you kill all the striders and the hunters. I think I finish it then it says there's more and three come at once, now thats quite hard....

I found the dual fire on the shot gun for the hunters, and always keeping a spare mortison device on the back of the car worked for me. Also try and tackle the striders as far out as possible, this gives you more time to get into position. Also the striders are easier to take out from behind (cue the gags...)

I found it best to try and tackle them when you are near a building, as that has both the balls and respawning health packs. For example when the sawmill gets destroyed, that's a bad place to get in a fight, because there are no balls nearby. You also need to priorotise and engage the striders which are approaching the the main base before the ones further out.

I also found it much easier to fight striders which aren't surrounded by hunters. Try and lure the hunters away and then dart back in to kill the strider.

I did not try and save buildings for bonus, and incase you do not know, there is 2 types of Striders, normal ones and fast moving ones (think there is 2-3 of them fast ones).

ive done the autogun bit now :D

last game i played was EP1 when it 1st came out, HL/source games are they only ones i like. i also loved NFS games when i was 15-16. i've played loads of new games, just cant get into them anymore

Can anyone tell me WTF they "Battery things with Wires" on them you find later in the game are for ? (look like Detonators).

The things you find with the hidden caches? They'll be the little beacons drawing you to the cache. They stop working when you get the cache. At least they did for me, but I kept crowbarring things that they were sitting on, so that may also have broken them. :o

Easier to just run them over, if you can, or throw any handy logs at them until they depart this mortal world. As long as you engage them far enough out, you can get the strider before it gets anywhere near the base. That said, I could never save that sawmill. :(

Have you got this from a verifiable source, or do you just think there are faster ones? I must admit, I never noticed any differences. Even if they do move faster, who's to say the striders in question aren't just programmed to head for the silo more aggressively?

(I seem to be sounding unintentionally confrontational a lot today, apologies if I'm still coming across like that)

You don't need any verifiable source to notice that there are obviously 2 different types of strider in the last level.

The normal ones are tall with long legs and move slowly, the faster ones are shorter, closer to the ground with short legs and more aggresive.
