help system not booting up!

guys just built my little brothers computer

amd athlon x3 455 unlocked phenom ii x4

asus m4a78lt 760g matx

sapphire 5670

ocz gold 2gb

samsung spinpoint f3 1tb

antec basiq 550 psu

windows vista 64bit upgrade to windows 7 64bit


it was running fine and one morning i booted it to check up on it and it ran windows and crashed and went blue screen, i took it apart to check inside nothing wrong then booted it again today and it loads the asus gateway and sends me to the post screen saying it shutting down in 15 seconds?

i think its the core unlocker unstable or something my little brother did, or its just faulty?

Guys someone help me on this dont ruin the little boys christmas :(
 
Check the Bios for something called Asus Express Gate and disable it.

It sounds like its trying to boot Asus Express Gate even though its not installed and then shutting down.
 
we found the problem..........sorta, it was the usb i think as it booted with nothing plugged in when we plug them back in on windowsv it dosent pick up the mouse or internet etc.

maybe damage to mobo or what is it?
 
right when i try get to bios it says usb device over current status detected
system shutdown in 15 secs tell me this some common mistake for a noob or is it serious
