Australia or Canada??...dont know about Australia but Canada it isnt too bad...but im lucky enough to have a job lined up there with my brother working for Evault a backup solution company in which hes the chief architect for designing and deploying backup solutions for companies across Canada/America. Will be spending a lot of time away from home travelling with him on a minimum of £45k which roughly equates to $90k and thats without bonuses...with bonuses i could be looking at well over $100k pa....which in Canadian terms is ****ing good money lol.

Failing that ill be actively looking to work for RIM, who make Blackberry phones...they have a few positions that ive currently applied for so just waiting to see what happens ie interview wise.

But even failing that i have enough £'s saved up and with the house being sold...which theres only £25k left on the mortgage so either way im in a win win situation:).

You still not moved yet. :p

Good luck with the house sale. Bet you can't wait to buy something nice over here. :D.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. :)

The Australian economy is in excellent shape, unemployment is low (~5.3%) and South Australia (where I live) has the lowest rate of unemployment in the nation. In short, my prospects of finding another job are very good.

The nature of my redundancy renders me eligible for subsidised retraining at the government's expense. They're offering to pay ~70% of the cost, so I've applied for a course that will upgrade my management qualifications and I'll be able to work part time while studying. :D

Are you still enjoying it now you have settled in?

Yep, absolutely loving it.
