Hi forums,
I recently did a "small" upgrade in the GPU department from an AMD 7850 to a GTX 970 and it's done wonders in terms of performance. But now it's time to up the ante a bit more and do away with my sluggish i5 2500k.
I guess I'm on a £500 budget, or if that isn't enough I can stretch to £600. But the problem is I haven't been keeping up with the latest CPU news. I know if I want a worthwhile upgrade I'm going to have to get a new Mobo as well so I'm open to either AMD or Intel suggestions.
Specs at the moment:
Gigabyte Z77-D3H (Socket 1155)
i5 2500k 3.30ghz
GeForce GTX 970 4096MB GDDR5
Corsair Vengeance 8gb (2x4gb) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel
Raijintek Themis Evo Professional CPU Cooler
Cooler Master Elite 430 Windowed Case
Thanks you in advance,
Dan
