Help! Trouble installing AMD CPU cooler!

Okay, so I just got this to fit onto my dads PC:

Upon getting it though, I realise theres no way to fit it onto my AMD2+ board. It seems to want some sort of bracket which it just assumed I have >.> Nowhere did it state I'd need this! I've only ever installed coolers onto intel cpu's so I had no idea. Basically, what do I need to buy? A bracket for cheap, or RMA the CPU and get one that comes with a bracket (but even then I'm not sure which one to go for). Any advice is much appreciated :)
 
If their is no bracket with it then yes send it back. It says AM2+ in the title, and if it doesn't supply the fittings for it, then send it back.
 
Yeh, what you see in this picture (this one to be precise: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/pimg/HS-019-AL_41118_350.jpg) is everything you get.

In the instructions, the pic looks like I need this:

The description on the website says CPU Retention Bracket Base Yellow for AMD Socket AM2 940. It doesn't say AMD2+, but my cpu is a phenom 2 x4 940. Should be fine right?

Anyway, thinking of sending it back, but these brackets are only a few quid. Would it be worth me just buying one of these instead? Otherwise what cooler would you recommend?

EDIT: Just saw Mart's post. Thing is I'm changing the cooler from a Domino ALC liquid cooler, so it had its own bracket on. That came with the PC, so no idea where the bracket is now if it was even sent to me in the first place.
 
That should be on your board anyway.
Colour is irrelevant.

EDIT : Agh, you haven't got the bracket then, just get another cooler that comes with its own mounting mechanism, but it's in no way a fault of the cooler.
 
To be honest its easier for me to order the bracket online, its like 3 quid and saves me RMAing. I've been trying to hunt down the extra bits that came with the PC when I got it, but no luck! Ah well.
