Help understanding video throughput

I'm looking to build a new desktop PC that is capable of supporting the Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 57" curved monitor WITHOUT having to install a dedicated graphics card, i.e. I want the build to use integrated graphics.

I'll probably go with AMD and the Ryzen 7 8700G CPU has integrated graphics (AMD Radeon 780M) capable of 7680x4320@60Hz i.e. 8K@60Hz. This is adequate for driving the Samsung monitor at 7680x2160@60Hz.

The issue I'm having is understanding the graphics capabilities of motherboards to support this display resolution, since there are a number of options, such as HDMI, Displayport and USB4.

The Asus ROG STRIX B650E-E GAMING WIFI has one Displayport 1.4 port with a maximum resolution of 8k@60Hz. So, this seems to be capable, even as a budget board.

The Asus ROG STRIX X870E-E GAMING WIFI is very capable and modern board, but instead of Displayport, it comes with 2 x USB4 ports, which can be used for video output, however the Asus website isn't very clear about the capability i.e. maximum resolution of these ports. It states "2 x USB4 (40Gbps) ports support USB Type-C display outputs with maximum 4K@60Hz as specified in DisplayPort 1.4a". Now, for such a capable board, this seems like a poor video resolution and I suspect I'm just not understanding.

I wonder if 4k@60Hz refers to EACH USB4 port, so if only one port is used, the maximum resolution would be double this i.e. 8K@60Hz?

Googling "displayport over USB4 ports", I get the impression the throughput is better than displayport 1.4 provides, but maybe not better than displayport with DSC?

Can someone please help me explain why the X870E-E motherboard with it's USB4 ports seems to be less capable than the budget B650E-E board in terms of graphics resolutions supported.
